Norfolk status
Rare migrant in Norfolk.
Distinctive unbroken white longitudinal streak.
Boggy and heathland habitats.

First confirmed Norfolk record in 2001 at Eccles. (see notes below*) (N. Bowman, 05/07/01) and again in 2015.
Third Norfolk and New for VC28 in 2019 at North Elmham (D. Appleton, 13/07/19)

*No Victorian records, an old reference in Beirne - British Pyralid & Plume Moths, 1952 - "In England north of Norfolk and Staffordshire and in Devon and North Wales". It is unclear if this refers to Norfolk or not?
This text was later referenced by Goater - British Pyralid Moths, 1986.
National Pyralidae Scheme co-ordinator - Tony Davis in 2009 - "I have no records of margaritella in Norfolk, nor are there any records on the MBGBI vice county maps".
Please also note the reference in Manley - British Moths, 2008 - "Locally Common... in Norfolk" is not correct!

Retained Specimen / Photograph will be Required.

Recorded in 4 (5%) of 74 10k Squares.
First Recorded in 2001.
